Hotels for Ft. Lauderdale!! Great deal!

Hey. I ran across this great deal and thought I'd get it out there for everyone to enjoy.

There's a Ramada very near the Fort Lauderdale airport that is currently advertising rates of $52.39 per night. The rate INCLUDES free shuttle from and to the airport AND to and from the cruise port!!

It also includes a complimentary full hot breakfast. The hotel has a pool, free high-speed internet, and even a laundry if you feel so inclined post-cruise.

Grand Cayman Excursions!

Grand Cayman is a great stop because you can get a great excursion for free!! Uncle Reynold, Dad, and mom found it on their first cruise adventure. Bring your own snorkeling gear, and a 10 minute walk takes you to excellent snorkeling, or you can rent snorkel gear on the island.

For those cruisers who have already enjoyed this experience and are looking for something new, there is always Stingray City...an opportunity to swim with, hold, feed, and even kiss stingrays!! It is an awesome experience.

I found a vendor for a pretty good price: $35 for adults, $27 for kids (10 and under), and free for 4 yrs. and under. The best part is that you sail out to the sand bar on a huge catamaran! Check out the pictures...

If enough people are interested in this experience, I can approach the vendor and ask about a group discount (never hurts, right?). Richard and I have done this one before, so we want to snorkel, but it really is a very cool experience, and the tour even includes some snorkeling as part of the trip!!

Changes

So, sadly the Mathias' are not coming on the cruise anymore. We are sad to lose their company.

On the bright side, however, we are now joined by Paul and Marci Lamarque and Family, and John and Vivienne Knighton and Family (Aunt Michele's siblings).
